Road Closures

ROAD CLOSURES FOR NEW YEARS EVE - GOSFORD WATERFRONT - 31ST DECEMBER 2016 The following Temporary Road Closures will be in place in Gosford on 31ST December 2016 to facilitate New Years Eve Event:

Gosford waterfront will again host a fireworks event after the Mariners Stadium game on New Years Eve at 9.15pm There will be festival stalls on Ray Maher Field as well next to the Leagues Club. This will require the usual road closures for the area as in previous years.

*Commencing at 4pm there will be the usual Stadium closures and diversions with the exception of the Donnison Street railway bridge. This will be remain open in both directions however there is no right turn from Donnison St into Dane Drive.

*Commencing aprox 6.00pm the diversions on the Central Coast Hwy will commence to close Brian McGowan Bridge and Dane Drive waterfront by 7pm.

*Traffic travelling from the east will be diverted from Masons Pde straight ahead into Mann Street. No access to Dane Drive.

*Alternate route to bypass Gosford will be via Henry Parry Drive.

*Vaughan Ave will be closed at Dane Drive with restricted access at Mann St for Disabled Parking only.

*Traffic travelling from the west will be merged into one lane from Hely Street and then diverted into Riou Street besides Brian McGowan Bridge. Access to Gosford is then provided via Donnison St or continue straight ahead into Showground Rd.

*Alternatively motorists can access or by pass Gosford via Racecourse Rd. There is No Paking on the northern side of Central Coast Hwy prior to the diversion.

*Alfred Higgs Place, the road under Brian McGowan Bridge will be closed from 6pm. Any vehicle parked in this location prior to the closure will be required to remain there until approximately 10.30pm.

The exit/entry onto Dane Drive at the roundabout will be blocked to prevent any vehicle exiting this area. Any motorist not wishing to be delayed from this area is advised not to access this road.

Normal road conditions are expected to be returned by 11pm depending on how quick crowds are disbursed.
